STRENGTHENING STRUCTURES BY ADDING PRESTRESSING/POST-TENSIONING STEEL
We reinforce existing structures by adding post-tensioned steel elements to increase their load-bearing capacity without replacing them, while still allowing in-service installations.
RETAIN EXISTING BEAMS WITHOUT REPLACING THEM
With our expertise in civil engineering and our mastery of prestressing techniques, we strengthen existing structures by adding post-tensioned steel elements. The tensioned elements are held in place by steel (or formerly concrete) blocks, which lock the cables or bars in tension and transmit the external stresses to the existing beam. This significantly increases the capacity of the beam to take up the loads to which it is subjected.
This method makes it possible to conserve existing beams without having to replace them. In addition, this system can, in some cases, be installed while the beam is still in operation, improving its load-bearing capacity and resistance to dynamic loads. This approach guarantees a durable and effective solution, extending the life of the structures and ensuring their optimum performance.
